AS AND A2 RECITALS

Just a reminder that your AS and A2 recitals are on Thursday 30th April 2009.


A2 Candidates:

Please ensure that the timing of your recitals DO NOT FALL BELOW 12 minutes, otherwise 7 marks will deducted from the overall mark which will be a real shame. Your upper limit is 15 minutes.

AS Candidates:
Please ensure Section A is between 6-8 minutes long and Section C is between 3-4 minutes long. Again, recitals that fall short will lose marks.

Performance Markings/indications
If you choose to change dynamics or articulations please make sure you mark this on your parts – when I come to photocopy your bits for the examiner, she will be expecting everything to be accurate.

Your first task for homework - fill in the grids for each of the Schumann miniatures. 3. Your second task - answer this essay question: To what extent could ‘Yellow Bird’ be described as a piece of folk music?
