Year 10, This is your last opportunity in lessons to complete your first lot of controlled coursework. To complete the final paragraph of your commentaries, you will need to listen to your first performances. They can be found by clicking this link . Some reminders: The deadline for your first round of coursework is Wednesday 16th July 2014, 3.25pm. You will not be able to work on your compositions after school on the Wednesday. You will need to hand in: - A recording of your first performance - The commentary document for your first performance (remember this blog post?) - A recording of your first composition - A score (of some kind) of your first composition Sibelius: The current Sibelius situation is that it is working. If it doesn't, and that is the reason you miss the deadline, you will not be penalised. Lesson times remaining: Weds 9th July P5 Fri 11th July Ps1&2 Weds 16th July P5 (you will be in Room 10) plus any time at lunch or after school you choose. Talk to me if you have any problems. Hello Year 10, So, Click here  to access the pro forma. You will need to download it and save it to your area. Using your notes, which you should have with you, you have this lesson to complete Paragraphs 1, 2 and 4 of the pro forma. There will be a short amount of time available to complete paragraph 3 at the end of the summer term, but don't rely on it. 100-200 words per paragraph is fine. Quality not quantity. Don't go too mad. You may use the internet, but you are under controlled conditions in this lesson. You may not complete this outside of lesson time. If you do not finish, you will need to find time after school or at lunch, with me present. If you don't have your notes with you, tough. I have marked, commented on and returned everything you lot have given me. Hi Year 10, Clearly an unfortunate set of circumstances has meant you haven't seen me for a while. I miss you all terribly I can assure you. Please have your completed drafts of your 'Performance Commentary' (the paragraphs we were working on in class) done by Fri 17th Jan. I will collect them in during our lesson. Dear Year 11, Today you will be finalising the pro forma that goes with your first performance and composition. You have already filled in 3 of the 4 boxes. The file should be on your area, named B351 Commentary Pro Forma or similar. Blank copies can be found here . The final box asks you to comment on your performance. Follow the guidelines and my advice to fill it in. Aim for 100 words, but more is fine. Click here to access recordings of your performances. You will need them to fill in the final box. Download and save them to your area. Listen to your own only please, be considerate. Once you have filled in this box, check over the commentary as a whole. It is worth 10 marks. Dear Year 11, Your creative task exam will take place on WEDNESDAY 17TH APRIL. You will receive a 'slot' closer to the time. Dear Year 11, EVERYTHING coursework related must be handed in by FRIDAY 22ND MARCH. If you are at all unsure as to what to hand in, you will find an electronic version of my amazing checklist here . I want to sign EVERYONE's list. You all have one. There are several slots available if you have any remaining controlled assessment time left. Just come and speak to us. You have all worked very hard throughout the course, make sure your coursework submissions are indicative of your hard work. Take ownership and get it all sorted.
