This Thursday (03 Nov) on BBC Four, the legend that is Simon Russell Beale presents the first in a new series looking at the Symphony, and how it has shaped both our history and identity.

The first episode looks at the symphonies of Miss Doan's crew, the big boys; Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
