Year 13 Homework: Thursday 6th October

Make notes on the following aspects of the final movement of Corelli's Op.3 no. 2:
  • Harmony (consider use of a variety of chords, cadences and even dissonances)
  • Melody (how is the opening motif explored? what about sequences etc?)
  • Rhythm and Metre (this is gigue style - how does the rhythm and metre reflect this? Are there syncopations etc?)
You need to bring the notes for discussion and pooling of ideas for next Thursday's lesson.
