Well done to the Vocal Ensemble for Friday's rehearsal - I know you were all really tired and you did very well. However, you all know there are bits of the Dove that you found difficult, so you must find the time now to listen to the music and work rectify the errors. Make notes on the following aspects of the final movement of Corelli's Op.3 no. 2: Harmony (consider use of a variety of chords, cadences and even dissonances) Melody (how is the opening motif explored? what about sequences etc?) Rhythm and Metre (this is gigue style - how does the rhythm and metre reflect this? Are there syncopations etc?) You need to bring the notes for discussion and pooling of ideas for next Thursday's lesson.
